Discover Luís Vaz de Camões square, in honour of the author of Os Lusíadas, one of the most important works in Lusophone literature; Bica street and its neighbourhood, one of the city’s most picturesque areas, characterised by the funicular that runs through it since 1892; the Estrela basilica, classified as Cultural Heritage; and the São Roque church, one of the few buildings in Lisbon to have survived the great 1755 earthquake, as well as being the first Jesuit church in Portugal and one of the first in the whole world.
