Sintra is a picturesque little village, located in the centre of Serra de Sintra’s hills. The cool climate that you can feel during most of the year, attracted, during ancient times, the Portuguese elite and noblemen, who built many palaces, extravagant residences and incredible gardens.
It’s a relatively small area, but with a lot to see. It has a large number of historical monuments and tourist attractions. There are more than ten national monuments, including grand palaces, old ruins and intricate buildings.
